loading images in CVI programs

IS it possible (or did I miss something) to load jpeg, gif or tiff
images in a CVI program. Seems to me we can't get away from bmp's even in
CVI ver 5.5.

No, you did not miss it, its not there.

You may have a look at the web page of Guillaume Dargaude (thank you for
this good page) at
http://sung3.ifsi.rm.cnr.it/~dargaud/Hack/LabWindows.html
He has an example there for reading and writing PNG files. Maybe it helps

You can also use CVI Internet Toolkit. This fp library includes JPG Import/Export
functions.
