We have a CVI 8.0 app we install using a distribution kit, and have been for some time.
All of a sudden, when distributing the app after having built it on a different, CVI 8.0 IDE, the installer hangs up for 5 minutes before proceeding with the install, which then completes normally.
I think the installer is hung on the implicit uninstall of the previous version of the app.
The same delay is incurred when we do an explicit "remove program" using the Widows control panel applet.
What could happen in a distribution kit that would induce this behavior? We can't correlate it with anything other than having used a different CVI IDE to build the distribution.
We've also seen the installer require a reboot when it didn't before.
