maximize panel does not refresh all the subpanel controls

Greetings,

This is kishore working on LabWindows CVI 8.5 version, I have problem with refreshing the cotrols when the panel is being maximized from the taskbar, it requires a couple of clicks before all the controls on the subpanels on the main panel are refreshed/repainted back.

I have a main panel, and some child panels which have all the controls.

and this refresh/repaint problem does not exist on all systems. Do we have any event which we can handle for minimize and maximize.

Thanks in advance

HI, I have made a quick search on the forum finding this thread that seems to report a behaviour similar to yours: is this correct? It seems to correlate this problems with Vista and some specific video settings, so since you have several machines with your application installed you can see if it applies to your situation too.

Hi Roberto,

Thanks for your quick reply, the PC's at my location are XP and we have no problem with the refresh during maximize, the set of PC's at the client place are the ones not refreshing the content, as far as my knowledge they are also XP machines

thanks kishore

Unfortunately I almost never use child panels in my applications so I cannot help you in this respect. In the thread I linked before there were some suggestions about changes in Windows settings that apparently have given satisfactory results in some cases: can you try some of these on your customer machine?

Hello kishore,

If the problem you're having really is the same problem that Roberto linked to (and I suspect that it is) then you can ask your client to download the latest version of the CVI run-time engine (version 9.0) which has a fix for the problem, and see if that makes the problem go away.
