modbus connect with COM4

Hello all.

I created VI with MODBUS.

I connected MODBUS unit with COM4.

But I see in “VISA resource name”: ASRL1, ASRL4 …

How can I connect COM4 with MODBUS unit.

ASRL4, ASRL4::INSTR and COM4 should all be aliases for the same resource (serial port 4 in your system). You can check in Measurement and automation explorer under Devices and interfaces >> Ports which are the ports available in your PC and their resource name and VISA name.

But please note that this forum is dedicated to CVI users: since it seems to me that you are developing in LabVIEW, you can find better support in its proper forum.
