"could not create executable file" error

My 8.5 project has somehow become misconfigured and now I

cannot recompile a new executable without  first manually deleting

the old one every time.   Any ideas?

Could you give a screenshot of the error? Also, were you ever able to recompile without deleting the old version with this project? If so, do you remember what has changed between it working and now?

 Attached is a screen shot of the error message.    The project worked fine initially,  then there was a period where

it would sometimes give the error but if I compiled again it would usually work,  now it never works without deleting the

.exe file.  I dont remember changing anything around the time it stopped working.

Is it just that one project? What happens when you create a test project and compile a couple of times, do you get the same error?
