LabWindows/CVI does support the use of both ActiveX containers and
ActiveX Automation. However, it is up to the provider and
developer of those particular COM objects to implement the
functionality and compatibility of the features. I understand
that the examples we have up are for previous versions of Excel, and
they may not work exactly as they would for newer versions of Microsoft
Excel. I can hopefully point you to some good documentation for
how to use ActiveX in CVI, but the actual methods and properties for
any particular COM object (such as Excel) would be best supported by
that particular company (Microsoft in this case). I understand
that when the ActiveX features of the objects are changed it can lead
to some frustrations, but I suppose that is what keeps ActiveX
programming so exciting! A good resource for Microsoft
