set for Low and Hi current limit for HP6623A power supply

Hi,

I've tried to calibrating the HP6623A power supply to set for Lo & Hi limits by sending command "IDATA 1, 0.07, 4.9" for setting current limit for channel 1 as Lo = 0.07 and Hi = 4.9 and just received error message (it even fails on any values of Lo & Hi). The purpose is to set the current limit as lo as 0.0A

Can anyone help to let me know the procedure to calibrate this.

Thanks much

Hi Phan,

I unfortunately do not know anything about this particular instrument, but I searched the Agilent website and found the Operating Manual for it.  In Appendix A (pg. 89), it gives you some instructions on calibration.  Click here and go to page 89 to find this.  Hopefully this can help you out.

Best of luck!

Hi Chris,

I've tried that but it didn't work. I've even tried to contact Agilent and they couldn't help me either.

Thanks anyway

Phan

Hi,

You have put it in to calibration mode by sending CMODE 1!

Dont forget to take it out of calibration mode by sending CMODE 0.
