Did you mean:

update LabWindows5.0 to Version 6.0

after compiling a project with version 6.0 (project was made with version 5.0) the application starts, but there is no function with the daq-hardware e.g no serial communication and no readings from analog-in. I am creating a new distribution kit. Please can you help me?

I can't explain the serial, that should be working fine. As for DAQ, you need to re-install NI-DAQ on your machine so that the CVI support files will be present in the new CVI directories. Reinstall NI-DAQ and make sure to install CVI support and that it is installing in the directory on CVI 6.0.

Hi,
I have a similar problem.
I had the LabWindows 5.5 version installed at my PC.
When I got the 6.0 version I installed it without uninstalling the 5.5 one.
I reinstalled NI-DAQ and I think I installed CVI support and it was installed in the directory on CVI 6.0 because I can run and compile ok with the 6.0 version the projects created with the previous one.
But, when I launch LabWindows 5.5, it doesn't have the DAQ libraries (Ni-DAQ) actives, and I can't compile the projects that uses it.
I have tried to reinstall NI-DAQ in the directory on CVI 5.5, but this operation remove the installation on CVI 6.0.
This is my question: Can I have installed the 5.5 and 6.0 versions of LabWindows installed at the same PC, using the same NI-DAQ library?

Not
e: I don't want to run both versions of LabWindows at the same time: I want to have the posibility to decide within both versions each time.

Thanks a lot,
silmarba
