windows xp tablet pc edition 2005 and cvi

I am currently using cvi v 7.0, but am willing to upgrade to the latest version (8.??).  Does cvi work properly under the "Windows xp tablet pc edition 2005" os both for running cvi as a development environment and for creating applications?  If not, what are the plans for cvi to support this in the future?

Thanks,
Ebenezer

Hello Ebenezer,

To my knowledge, we have not tested any version of CVI on a tablet PC (7.0 or otherwise). Thus, I cannot say that we *officially* support it. However, I do not see any reason why 7.0 would not work -- either as a development environment or as an executable. I would imagine, however, that writing C code would be difficult on a tablet PC unless you have some kind of keyboard.

I search around for other customers that my have used CVI on a tablet PC, but I didn't find too much. Nonetheless, you may want to take a look at this thread:

Perhaps they have some more insight/experience? Hope this helps,

Charlie S.
