64bit drivers on the horizon?

Hello all,

I find it shocking that there is currently no modern full-featured linux driver for nidaq cards. By modern, I mean I want to use a 64bit system and put as much RAM in as I feel like.

So anyways, does anyone know:

Are there modern linux drivers in the works, or does NI not see this as a priority? I *really* don't want to have to deal with Windows.

Thanks

Hi sbemail-

We are working on various plans to modernize our offerings on non-Windows platforms, but nothing is committed or scheduled for release yet so I can't comment with any specifics.  It would help to know which devices and APIs you use so that we can consider them in prioritizing the work to support them.

In short, we do see this type of effort as a priority and are trying to build momentum in directions that will be most useful for our users.  So, any input on your needs would be much appreciated.

Thanks for posting-
