nivisa 4.5.1 and pendulum cnt-90

Hi

I'm working with pendulum cnt-90 via nivisa 4.5.1 in opensuse 10.2 64 bit.

I have some trouble:

After sending viClose(instr), viClose(defaultRM) and try reopen connection i cant't connect to device.

I need reattach device to connect him.

How to solve this problem ?

Thanks.

Assuming you are communicating via USB, have you seen the thread about VISA on Tektronix 2024B scopes? (http://decibel.ni.com/content/message/3038#3038)  It outlines a possible issue with SET_INTERFACE on Linux with USB communication and what you might be able to try.

I tried to set attributes VI_ATTR_USB_BULK_OUT_STATUS, VI_ATTR_USB_BULK_IN_STATUS, VI_ATTR_USB_INTR_IN_STATUS to zero and could not solve the problem. How else can i change the attribute SET_INTERFACE or what can i do else to solve my issue?

The only other thing mentioned in the other thread was trying the native usb tmc driver in the Linux kernel.  All I've got for this comes from other threads, somebody else will need to chime in.

I also tried to use usbtmc driver from agilent http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/editorial.jspx?cc=US&lc=eng&ckey=1189308&id=1189308. This problem was solved, but if pps signal disappear and i sent ":READ?", connection with device was lost.  I need to power reset the device for reconnection.
