Data Member Config and Lookout Descriptions

I see thatin the Data Member configuration there is a place to type in a description of the input or output. This seems to be working fine when I use this with a mailer object and ask it to send the $Alarm.Message to an email address. But what on earth are the "ON" and "OFF" for under decsriptions?? Is there a way to use these for the mailer object too? It is another tag?

What is the possibility of using these (Particualrly the "OFF Message") to send an email using the mailer message when the alarm resolve itself?

Thanks,

The "ON" "OFF" are only for documentation. It just reminds you of what the ON/OFF condition of the alias is.  It's no use anywhere else.

Is there a way to have a mailer object send a message for when an alarm clears / normalizes? I get one now when something alarms, but I might want to know if it clears as well.

There is no datamember that indicates you the clear of an alarm.  I can't find a good way to do it.
But if you really wants to know when the alarm is clear, you can set an opposite alarm. For example, you have an alarm that Pot1>80, then you can set another alarm that Pot1<80. So when the second is active, you know the first one is cleared.
