This is a hard question to answer definitively. I am not aware of a known limitation with ISA TIWAY cards. The only obvious limitation would be PC resources for ISA slots. I am assuming you are using an Ethernet based connection to the PLC and have the software to connect to the TIWAY object. Are you using CTI-2572? How many are you trying to connect? How many of them are working?
Robert, I am actually connecting to the PLCs via TIWAY, not Ethernet. This is a hypothetical question. I need to have up to 8 ISA cards in a single PC talking to multiple TIWAY PLCs. Thanks, Dean
Dean, The first place I would recommend checking for limitations is with the manufacturer of the ISA based cards. Having 8 cards in one computer might exceed the limits of the driver and/or cause problems with IRQ conflicts in the computer.
I am not aware of any limitations with our software. I assume you are using Lookout and Server Explorer.
