Invert Logic Not Being Imported from Object File

Hi,

I imported an object data member file (in .xls format) and it does not show any values under the "Invert?" column.

In the Data Member Configuration I have set the "invert logical signal" to On (checked) but when I look at the imported data member file it shows nothing under the "Invert?" column.

Does it not import this value?  Should I input the value directly into the imported file and then export it back to Lookout? Or just leave it alone?

Thanks

The "Invert" column should be "TRUE" if the "invert" is checked in Lookout.

You export the datamembers to excel file, and then import it back. After you configure a datamember in Lookout, check the "Invert", click "Save", then click "Export" to export the datamembers into an excel file. This datamember will have "TRUE" on "invert" column in excel file.

Ryan,

I have experienced the same problem with the invert not being exported to excel, specifically with the modbus object.  I can send you examples if you would like.

Hi Ryan,

I did what you said and confirmed that the invert logic was checked and saved the data member and imported to an excel file. The excel file still shows no entry in the invert column.

I should mention that I'm using Lookout version 5.1.

Thx

Rkdomer,

Yes, please send me an example. Post it here or upload to ftp.

I tried both Modbus object and Lookout 5.1, but still cannot reproduce. It is exported to excel very well.

Could it be that I'm using a DL450 as the PLC?

I don't have the DL hardware, so I cannot try the DL object here. It doesn't allow me to create the object without an active link...

I don't know if it is the driver object's problem. Have you tried any other driver objects?
