Lookout Mailer

I have installed the Lookout Mailer example process and after entering my mail server info "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" and entering a valid "to" and "from" email address, I pushed the "send email" button.  I have not received an email response from the mailer process and the tracefile log shows only "[[NEW SEND]]".

I'm working on a Windows 7, 64 bit OS, using Lookout 6.2 build 49153.

I will be transferring this Mailer function to a WindowsXP professional, version 2002, sp3 computer running Lookout 6.2 build 49153, which is app. 400 miles from my location. My goal is to receive timely alarm/event updates via email to my cellphone when I am not at my computer.

Has anyone had experience implementing the Mailer Object on like OS and via Yahoo mail server?

I'm sorry the 6.2 mailer object doesn't work with most public mail servers. The 6.2 mailer object doesn't support the user authentication, however most public mail servers need the account and password information to create the connection. We added the user authentication feature to the lookout 6.5.
