I have not found a solution for the problem in MAX. However if you are useing the activeX on a VI you can use the refresh property node when you open the VI to eleminate the streaks. I have found that when the VI is waiting to be called you will see these streaks on the Hypertrend, and if you refresh the screen once when you open it they will disappear until next time. I think this is something that needs to be addressed by NI.
