Print panels to multiple printers in Lookout

Is there any way to direct panels to print to something other than the default windows printer? I have several panels that need to print on different types of pre-printed paper in different printers or, alternatively, to different bins in the same printer.

If you use Panel.print, I can't find a way to let Lookout use another printer instead of the default one.

Has anyone thought about setting up the 'default' printer to be a 'print to file' printer, or even a 'print to a pdf file' (like PDF995 for example (maybe have to use the one you pay for to get rid of the advertising)). Anyway, then you would have these 'files', and you might be able to use a 'run' command to copy that file to a certain printer. That way, you could send it to a different printer. I'm just kind of thinking outloud here. I havn't yet taken the time to apply this idea.

Yes, maybe a virtual printer can do this. Print to different files and use RUN object to send files to different printers.

Why not save the panel to an HTML report (creates a BMP), then use the windows paint program to send the print command

We do our reports this way, except we use Notepade 🙂
