Problem with modbuslave object

I'm having a problem with the modbus slave object.

The modbus slave is on Comm2
The ModbusOMNI is on Comm1

I'm trying to break the data from the ModbusOMNI down into individual bits and to this end I have made a connection from Modbuslave.D40001=ModbusOMNI.5501 (a 32 bit unsigned integer)using the edit connections menu. The problem is I can see the data in a gauge from the ModbusOMNI object, but it is not being transferred to the slave object. If I attach a pot to Modbuslave.D40001 all works. Any ideas?

I'm not exactly sure what is happening here.

What version of Lookout are you using? Could you provide your .LKS file so I can have a look at this, please?
