Set a door open alarm

This is our first time using Lookout.  I am hoping to get a little help on getting started.  In our first example, we have a communication tower that has several alarms attached to that tower.  The radio within in the tower basically opens and closes circuits to send alarms to the dispatch center.  One such alarm is if the door opens it sends an alarm to the dispatch center.  There are 5 other such alarms related with that tower.  I am looking for help in setting up the object and the corresponding alarms.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

To generate an alarm in Lookout, you will need a logical (discrete) signal (or some computation which ultimately results in TRUE/FALSE). 

How are you monitoring the opening of the door?  Is it a discrete IO point?  If yes, you can use that to trigger an alarm.  Lookup the Alarm Object in the Help.

What type of communication do you have between the tower and Lookout? You will have to establish some form of driver first.
