Setting up Webclient

Hi,
After reading through the manual, help files, and forum. Im still confused on the webclient setup. Our idea when purchasing this software was that we could allow users to logon through the web to our client processes and depending on there security they could controll some of the server processes. I assume this is possible so the first question I have is do we have to setup a webserver on the same machine as the server ? if not how do we route the webclient to our server ?
After i recieve an answer from this i will continue the discussion.
But any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

NO, the web server can be a different computer. But the Lookout server must be accessible for those web clients.  The webclient downloads the process files from web server, and directly connects to the server.

Thanks Ryan,
So we should be able to put files onto the webserver. Does it matter if we use a linux webserver ? So it sounds like we just export our files to a folder on our webserver and then  I assume we just make sure we port foward all the upd logos ports on our external ip to our lookout process server? Is this correct ?

It doesn't matter if you use Linux webserver. But you should have an external ip for the Lookout server.

Thanks for all your help Ryan,
Just one more quick question what ports need to be opened for Lookout ? Seeing how lookout will be controlling our enitre water system i dont imagine just setting this computer into a dmz zone is very safe or intelligent. I would prefer keeping it behind a firewall and portforwarding all necessary ports. What ports need to be forwarded for lookout to work properly. And if it is a large range doesnt that become a serious risk to network security as well as system security ?
Thanks,

These two articles tell you how to configure the firewall and open the necessary ports.
