To late time response from device to lookout

Hi everyone.

I'm using lookout to developer SCADA systems. Now lookout communicate with devices througth system wsr3000(older system from Rittmeyer). In lookout is OPC client which using OPCBridgeview server. Bridgeview is configuration on three computers, because is about 2500 tags and my ETM.OPC server control with success only 1000 tags.On server when the lookout is running is tag configuration following:
1. i'm add local tags from ETM.OPC server
2. i'm import network tags from firs remote computer (when is local Bridgeview configurate: add local ETM.OPC server)
3. i'm import network tags from second remote computer.

Lookout read from opc server correctly but when i'm send a request to some device (etc. start motor), i'm waiting about 5 minutes than will be motor running.Delay is very high.
In system wsr3000 are reactions immediate so i'm think that problem is in bridgeview or lookout.

Excuse my English ins't very good.
Thanks for all answer.

Hello Pavel,

How is your Lookout OPC Client object configured? Have you checked the options for "Use Asynchronous I/O" and "Force Refresh After Write"?. Does that seem to make any difference. Have you noticed this large delay with any other data members?

Is it possible to use some other OPC client software to monitor the BridgeVIEW OPC server items? This would be a way of seeing where the delay is taking place. Try to start the motor using the other client software and see if the delay is still around 5 minutes. That will help to point you in the right direction for troubleshooting your code.

One option is to use the NI Server Explorer to monitor OPC items without any programming.

If you have any other questions about this, please let me know.

Regards,
