What advantages are there to upgrading to Lookout 6

Actually, I have two questions, but they boil down to this:

1.  We have a Lookout 5.1 network consisting of 2 servers and 6 Operator workstations.  It does all we want (other than the occasional crashes of the primary server, which we've learned to live with over the past 3 years).  Is there any pressing reason we should upgrade to Lookout 6, rather than just continue on Lookout 5.1?

2. The only problems we've had with the Lookout 5.1 system are system crashes on the server about once every 2-3 months.  Would upgrading to Lookout 6 correct this problem?  Can I run a Lookout 6 server in combination with Lookout 5.1 clients?

There are two main features of Lookout 6.1 against 5.1. Citadel5 and Vista.
Citadel5 is much more stable than Citadel 4 database which is used by Lookout 5.1.
But I don't know about your crash, so I can't say if the crash will go away after upgrading to 6.1.
The upgrade can be easily done. No data or configuration will be lost.
We don't suggest users to use 5.1 client to connect 6.1 server.

Vista is a non-player here.  We have no plans to even 'look' at Vista.

I tried to use a 6.0.2 server with 5.1 clients much earlier, and it seemed that I couldn't get Alarms or Historical Trending on the clients.  Was that what I should have expected?
I really don't want to have to upgrade all of our client machines if I don't -absolutely- have to, because some of them I don't have easy access to, and others are embedded into our processing systems.  I'd much rather leave them alone if I don't have to.

If you upgrade server, you have to upgrade client. If you use 5.1 client and 6.1 server, the data in database such as alarm and hypertrend traces can't be trasnfered from server to client, since they use different database, citadel 4 for 5.1 and citadel 5 for 6.1.  This is expected.
