email authentication

I'm using lookout 6.0.1 and 6.0.2. I have a mailer setup which has been working successfully for the last year. ATT/Yahoo is the internet/mail server. ATT has changed parameters for emails. Outgoing requires authentication and Incoming port #995 and outgoing port #465 requires secure connect SSL. The emails are no longer working. I receive an SMTP failure. Please let me know if there is a solution for this. Does Lookout 6.1 allow for authentication and port assignment.

Lookout Mailer object doesn't support authentication. You probably need other mail server which doesn't need authentication.

We have temporarily solved the authentication problem through the server provider, but only if we can change the port from 25 to 587. Is this possible? Also, these features should be addressed by NI, they are becoming standard requirements on most servers.

Run a proxy server inline (on the same machine), this should allow you to redirect the port.
