lookout 6.6 hangs the 1st time loading a process using RSLinx OPC server communicating with SLC5/05

Hi folks,

I convert a lookout 5.0 process communicating with a AB SLC5/05 CPU via ethernet using the ABSLC500 object (set with the 5/04 CPU, the only possible) to lookout 6.6.

Changing to 5/05 CPU (now possible) I have problems with PLC variables defined with a scaling factor: ABSLC500 object fails the conversion.

For solve this problem I use OPCClient object instead.

I set RSLinx classic professional 2.57 to communicate with the PLC defining a channel in the DDE/OPC topic configuration. I test the channel with the AB OPC test client and it work well.

When I try to load the 1st time the process, I MUST wait for 15 minutes before it starts if the PLC is connected, if I try to load the process without the PLC I'm still waiting ... (three hours was passed and the windows task manager displays lookout process CPU usage 1% ... 1 min after 1% ... and so on - it looks like a brain wih a flat encephalogram). When I restart the process (without shutdown the PC) the process is loaded in 20 seconds. It was VERY STRANGE. Note: the RSLinx is already running when I restart the project. I set the RSLinx to run as a service, but nothing is change.

The other thing very strange happens when I load a lookout 6.6 process (with more than 3000 tags) communicating with the same OPC server but with a SLC5000 CPU: it loads in 30 seconds.

In both cases in the OPC client object I use a hierarchical local server. (I will try to use a flat In-process server - NI 2FQARSH7 document)

Please, I need a faster help for fix this problem.

Thanks,

have a nice day
