My Lookout 6.0 shuts down when I open an application that I wrote over one year ago; also in version 6.0 All my other applications work well.
I reinstalled Lookout 6.0 in another machine and the results were the same. What could be causing this problem? I went to the ftp site and downloaded all the 6.0 fixes and installed them and the problem continues. I am using modbus communications so I also instaled the modbus fix. I may have to rewrite the application completely and that would take over 100 hours considering the amount of data crunched in this program.
also, if I had defaulted the lookout program to automatically open the troublesome file, I would have been unable to run any of my other applications. Is there a way to remove this default with the program off? Maybe in an .ini file?

I had that before with Lookout 6.0.2. I found 2 different reasons:
1.- Microsoft Office. If the application has a data table or collects data in .csv format, Microsoft Office could be the resposible of the shut down. The Office 2003 and 2007 are receiving a lot of patching recently from Microsoft. Be careful with these patchings. I bet that when you had the application running OK, there was a different version of Microsoft Office.
2.- The application got corrupted. Try to open the .lks file instead of the .14t and let Lookout to recompile the source code again. If it opens, save it in a different location or with a different name.
