mssql.mdf file in Lookout's database folder

Hello folks.

Windows XP SP2 Pro and Lookout 6.0.2 is what I have everywhere.

There is an application that has been set up for collecting the events in Lookout as well, and at certain moment during the day, the events are printed to a file in C:\ then, the events are cleared by program. There is only event object used, no alarm objects. There is no variable logged, historical data, hypertrends, nothing that could feed with more stuff the database folder of lookout. Today, looking for something else, after 3 year working 24/7, Lookout has a file named mssql.mdf of 97664KB (in other words; more than 97MB). in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Lookot 6.0\Database

1 - What is this file for?
2 - Why is getting bigger?
3 - What could be the consequences of such as big file in the database folder of Lookout?

All the alarms are logged in this file. So I guess, after 3 years working, there are a big number of alarms in the database. It doesn't matter if you don't do anything. However, you can archive those alarms, and also the data, into another database by MAX.
