Does NI have plans to improve the MatrixX interface?

Is there any convenient user interface planned to do calculations in MatrixX. How is the interface with LabView?

As one first step of interfacing LabVIEWs User Interface Capabilities you might find the following tutorial on Developer Zone useful:
:Using MSVC to Run MATRIXx SystemBuild Models in LabVIEW

The tutorial that Stephan refers to is an excellent place to start for today. Currently, such an interface is available for LabVIEW and Simulink, which is called the Simulation Interface Toolkit. Since this interface is available for a product that NI does not own (namely, Simulink), it is a good assumption to think that we would create such a product for software that we do own (MATRIXx).

This product, much like the existing Simulation Interface Toolkit, will allow MATRIXx users to not only link a LabVIEW-based UI to their SystemBuild models, but also provide a means for targeting LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time through AutoCode for quick deployment for hardware-in-the-loop and rapid control prototyping tests.

Great question!

The future for SystemBuild looks promising. The current user interface has a lot of shortcomings, so improvements for this is welcome.

But what about the future for the different modules, such as neural network, control design , signal analysis, etc. Will these be improved? Nothing has happened for a lot of years. We recently tried the neural network module but we didn't get to excited. Will you continue to develop and improve the various analysis tools in Xmath?

The short answer is yes. NI recognizes that there has been a lag in some of the modules in the MATRIXx product family and has been working internally (our developers) as well as with Alliance members to add and update our module offering.

One important part of that process, of course, is customer feedback. You mentioned that you didn't get too excited about the neural networks module. Could you be more specific about what you feel was missing? Are there any other modules that you would like to see improved? How?

Thanks for your time and continued support!!

Yes is good for me!

Regarding the NN-module, I have already contacted technical support on that. It crashed for us when the input matrix was too large. But generally, I believe that analytical tools should be available from the command window with the possibillity to transfer the results into SystemBuild. Analysis in NNtools is done in SystemBuild only, it is not easy to see how the analysis could be done simply from the command window.

For the other parts where I'm interested in improvements are :
- Control Design Module
- Model Reduction Module
- Optimization Module
- Signal Analysis Module
- Xmu Module

But I also hope for improvements in your other existent modules (and also new!).
