MatrixX ver 71.7 does not install properly on Windows NT !?

I have recently upgraded to matrixX ver 71.7 on two computers. The first install, on an XP machine, went smooth without problems. But on the second machine, an older PC running Windows NT (where ver 71.6 installed without problems), Xmath wouldn't launch after the install.

After some trouble-shooting, I found that the file "xmath.bat" in the main matrixx\bin folder is different in ver 71.7 and 71.6 (fortunately I had made a backup of this folder before installing 71.7 to be able to go back easily!)

The initial section of the 71.7 version of xmath.bat looks like this:
set MTXHOME=%~s0
set MTXHOME=%MTXHOME:\bin\xmath.bat=%
set ISIHOME=%MTXHOME%
set MTXVER=71.7
And this apparently works when executed on XP.
But the 71.6 version looks like this (d:\isi is the root matrixx folder in this machine for historical reasons):

set ISIHOME=d:\isi
set MTXHOME=d:\isi
set MTXVER=71.6

As a work-around, I tried replacing the 71.7 version of xmath.bat with the 71.6 version and changed the version tag to 71.7, and it worked! My conclusion is that the 71.7 version of xmath.bat is not compatible with NT, and yet it is stated in the System Administrator Guide (Windows) that MatrixX runs on Win 2000/NT/XP ...

I post this here to let others know of the work-around that I found. Is there any better solution?
