1.3 M pixel webcam

Dear All,

Does anyone use the new 1.3 Million pixel webcam (Logitec and other brands as well) with the NI USB driver for IMAQ and Vision Assistant?

Does it need to run at 'special' STILL mode to get 1.3M resolution while the 'video mode' is 640X480?

While Logitec 1.3 Million pixel webcam is 99USD. There are non well known brand webcam at 20 USD also claiming 1.3 M resoultion. Are they good?

Be careful, a few brands with low cost webcam products may claim they have a 1.3M pixel resolution, but that image resolution is created from images acquired at VGA (640*480 pixels) resolution; so inspect carefully the specification to be sure that the image sensor they use is a true 1.3M pixels.
