3d screw surface

Dear all,

as I'm rather new in this matter, I need a help. I would like to build half surface of a cylindrical screw. I have a sinusoidal 2D  profile and I do not know how to rotate and translate to get the screw surface. I can rotate and then translate this array, but in this case I do not obtain a screw I think operators like railrevolve of Rhinoceros software can work.

Can someone help me?

I think you have posted your question in the wrong forum.  The topic here is machine vision.  Questions here are about cameras, and image processing.

If you are asking how to generate a 3D image using the LabVIEW 3D Image Control, you should post in the main LabVIEW topic.  FYI, it is possible to import STL data into that control, and there are code examples, so if you can get your shape converted to STL, you might be able to do it that way.
