I have two AVT StringGray Cameras F033B and F033C. And I have Windows XP SP3. I read through the discussion and get to know that the IEEE decreased speed issue is fixed in SP3. But in MAX, when I use generic 1394 to control the cameras, I can only set the speed to 100M (this is the only option). I use 1394B connection which is suppose to give me 800M. I wonder if there is a solution?
Also, I tried the driver provided by AVT. It can work properly in S800. But it seems that this driver is not supported in MAX?
Thank you.

In fact Microsoft did not fix their S800 problem in XP SP2 nor SP3, nor in Vista. Thankfully they apparently have fixed it in Windows 7 release candidate.
In the meantime, please see several effective options described in the AVT technical support knowledge base article at http://goavt.mykb.com/Article_249D6.aspx

Hi evert,
Have you seen this?: NI Knowledgebase: NI-IMAQ for 1394 or NI-IMAQdx: Slower Frame Rate After Upgrading to Window XP SP2 ...
Here's another potentially helpful KnowledgeBase.
I hope these help!
