Acquiring SVGA Signal

Hi,
I need to acquire an SVGA (1024x768) analog signal (coming from a standrad PC video card) as an image...
I have alreday achieve this in 640x480 video mode with a PCI 1409, but I can't achieve this in 1024x768 mode.
If this can help, I only need a small part of the "screen" to acquire...
Any Idea to achieve this with NI material? or other if NI material can't...
Thanks in advance
Emmanuel

Hello ManuTec,

If you have an SVGA signal, there are a couple of options.

The easiest would be to reset the resolution to 640x480, that's what you do!!

The second would be to breakout the signals from the Monitor and operate in an external lock mode. The only difficulty here, is that with a nonstandard video signal (such as high resolution SVGA) you will need a pixel clock signal, and not many monitors output the signal.

You can try to modify the "VGA(1409).icd" that you can found on "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-IMAQ\Data" and use 1024x768 resolution. But the file probably will not make a difference in since the SVGA signal is not standard and our board will be unable to lock onto it.
