Prosilica has released a new firmware version for their GigE Vision cameras here: http://www.prosilica.com/support/gige/ge_download.html

Among other things, it fixes some outstanding "attribute out of range" errors that were possible to get within IMAQdx.

Hi all

I have tried to update my Prosilica GE1350C to firmware 1.34 (the newest), and I still got problems with my realtek ethernet card. The GigE viewer works fine, but I still get the error in VBAI.

I will therefore try to buy Intel Pro 1000 GT or D-Link DGE-530, since many others have success with these:)

Does anyone have any experience with D-Link DGE-660TD PCMCIA for laptops?

Best regards

Simon

Simon,

Can you try deleting all your .icd camera files and the cached XML files (just to be sure). Then remove the VBAI Acquire image step. You want the camera powered off during all of this. Then power on the camera and re-add the VBAI step. This should ensure all saved settings are removed. Its possible that the previously saved settings are still invalid and causing the problems. The network card used should not affect the Attribite Out Of Range error.

I have a Basler Scout camera scA1390-17gm and have experienced the "Attribute out of range error" on several PCs recently. On most PCs I have overcome the problem by restricting the packet size to 1500 bytes. However, on my newest PC this seems to have no effect. Furthermore it seems impossible to even save the data in MAX. Everytime I click on a control to change an attribute - any attribute - this error message appears. I have tried Realtek and Intel Pro network cards, re installed LabView and updated the xml file. All to no effect. In the past I have had no problems with this camera.

I can see the camera using the Basler viewer software. I can also see the camera in MAX if I keep clicking on the GenICam source icon, which also appears in parallel with the scA1390_17gm icon in devices/imaqdx although the camera mode seems odd and the packet size is set to 0! This doesn't seem right to me. Initially when you click on the GenICam source icon a red cross appears, but if you right click and try again you can access the camera. All very puzzling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
