I have a PCI 1429 cameralink data acquisiton card and a basler 504k camera. I recently bought an additional camera for which I would like to control the frame rate directly with TTL pulses (at 30 Hz). Rather than buy a new DAQ card I was thinking I could just get the extension board for the PCI 1429 card and use its DIO lines for this.
I'm not clear though on whether the DIO lines on the extension board are hardware-timed, and if they can be triggered by an external trigger (both of which would be necessary). I couldn't find this information in either the PCI 1429 or the NI Camera Link I/O Extension Board specifications. If someone knows the answer, I'd appreciate it.
