Hi there!
I am trying to generate a camera model through the NI Calibration Training Interface in Vision Assistant. I am getting the following error: "The calibration algorithm could not compute focal length and optical center parameters. To lean the internal camera parameters, acquire additional calibration grid images. Ensure a 20 degree difference in rotation between each calibration grid...".
However, from my measurements the 13 images that I have taken definitively span at least 20 degree plane. I am using a VZM™ 600i Zoom Imaging Lens from Edmund Optics at 2X magnification, and the 25 x 25mm, 0.125mm Spacing, Glass Distortion Target from Edmund optics as well.
When I first got this error, I thought maybe since the FOV is smaller than the target it wasn't registering "borders" to the images and that that was the issue. I created borders using pieces of paper to generate a defined grid. I have attached a zip folder of the images I have taken so far. Another issue that might be happening is that since the depth of field is so small, when I put the grid at a larger angle, parts of the grid are more or less out of focus.
If anyone has any tips for generating a camera model at high magnification, please let me know.
Best,
Ginette
