Capturing screenshots from composite video

I need to capture screenshots on a desktop from a composite video source every 10 seconds and determine whether the images are different. I only want to determine that the image changed.

What hardware would I need and would the Vision Development module make this possible in LabVIEW?

If you can get your hands on an NI PCI1409 framegrabber, that will work, but they are very rare at this point.

Another possibility is to get an off the shelf USB DVR, or a VCR to Digital Video converter.  Most of those device are DirectMedia compatible, and will show up as a capture device in MAX, under IMAQdx.
