Connecting the NI1744 Smart Camera and PS-15 power supply

Hi,

I have a NI1744 smart camera and a PS-15 power supply. Firstly is it possible to use this to power the camera (it's my understanding that it can)? Assuming that it can be, is this all I need along with the 15 pin D-sub pigtail cable and ethernet cable to connect and power it? 

Also, is it possible to cut a D-sub cable I currently have to make a pigtail cable, or should the NI 951x be used?

Hi,

Yes you can!

Your power supply is suitable for the smart cam. Use a D-sub 15 connector and wire +24v to pin N°5 common is pin N°15.
