Data format of NI PCI-1428 serial out

Hi guys

I'm currently trying to use an NI PCI-1428 frame grabber to interpret the image from a camera and then pass it to an FPGA for processing via the serial out port on the card (it's a ghetto approach to get some code up and running). I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the data coming out of the serial port is arranged?

Hi Alex,

I think you may be mistaken about the functionality of the 1428. The serial interface is not used for sending encoded image data through a serial output - it is solely used for sending and receiving commands from a Cameralink camera.
