Difficulty setting up interface card with camera

I have a custom built ccd camera and an NI1409 interface card. I'm having difficulty getting images.
What is an "interface" *.icd file and what is a camera file.

I can't find any general information on setting up the card correctly, can anyone help?

Hello Robert,

"What is an "interface" *.icd file and what is a camera file."
- A camera file (*.icd) is a text file with the configuration information to setup the 1409 (or any other NI framegrabber).
- Some of the information included is the image signal type, width and height.
- You can open up the RS-170.icd camera file in Notepad to see a simple configuration. Some camera files include advanced timing and triggering features.

"I have a custom built ccd camera"
- The selected .icd file should reflect the actual video signal sent from the camera. The most common video signals include RS-170, NTSC, CCIR, PAL, and 50 / 60 Hz Progressive Scan.
- I would start with determining the video signal generated from the ccd sensor you are currently using. Then
I select a camera file that closely matches the signal characteristics.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.
- Also, please include any documentation you have on the actual ccd sensor you are using.
