FIFO overflow on PCIe-1429 with Vista x64

I'm running a PCIe-1429 with 64-bit Vista, Vision Acquisition software 9, on a Dell T7500 quad core using the Intel x5520 chipset, 12GB DDR3 RAM. The camera generates 10Kx10K 2-byte image at 1Mhz, and we're getting "FIFO overflow" errors now and then. We've tried using both 4x and 2 different 16x PCIe slots.

On a T7400, we do not get this error.
Is there a firmware or driver update that addresses the issue on the T7500?

Hi,

If you are using Vision Acquisition 9, there isn't a newer driver for firmware update. I'm not sure what the differences are between the two processors but you may want to try looking at the this KnowledgeBase for some ideas on how to avoid the FIFO error.

One difference between the 2 systems is that the T7400 uses an older chip (Intel 5400) than the T7500 (Intel x5520). I have read the KnowledgeBase article and forum discussions about this issue prior to reporting this issue. Changing slots and disabling various services do not solve the problem. I would guess the PCIe-1429 driver/firmware cannot cope with the new chipset for some reason.
