I have a FLIR A320 GigE camera that won't show up in MAX. The camera works fine in FLIR's ExaminIR software. I've read the "Troubleshooting GigE Vison Cameras" and the only thing I can find is Case 5 where the white paper suggests FLIR's software and driver are getting in the way of MAX. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I really have to uninstall the FLIR software so I can use this camera with LabVIEW?
I also tried using the Discover Ethernet Cameras.vi with the Address (broadacast) input set to 255.255.255.255 then used the Enumerate Cameras.vi and still got nothing (see snipet below)
More information on the system:
There are 2 network cards installed in the computer. One is connected to the workplace network and the other is connected directly to the camera. The one connected to the camera is a D-Link DGE-530T.
The IP address of the network card and the camera both match the first two sections. i.e ABC.XYZ.???.??? and ABC.XYZ.???.???
Win 7 OS
MAX Version 5.0.0f1
IMAQdx version 3.8.1

Hi,
I always forget which FLIR models do what, but a quick google suggests that the A320 doesn't actually support GigE Vision, only a propietary protocol. http://www.flir.com/uploadedFiles/Thermography_APAC/Products/Product_Literture/090722%20A320%20datas...
I somewhat recall some of their models having different variants with the same name but some with GigE Vision support and others without, so maybe that is the case here. Either way I would confirm with FLIR first whether the exact unit you have is GigE Vision compliant or not.

Correct, you would need the A325G which will show up in MAX. Now there is also the A315. The model numbering gets confusing. For non GigE cameras you will need to use the FLIR LabVIEW Toolkit.
Best,
