Fail Count is increasing after every timeout

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear Team,

I am using FLIR camera with VBAI.

In our application I am using external trigger (24VDC) and when I switch to Inspection interface View then after every timeout a fail count is increasing irrespective of external trigger.

Now, it is difficult to analyze the actual PASS/FAIL count.

Could you please suggest what I need to change so VBAI work only on external trigger and if there is no trigger it should be ideal (Should not increase the FAIL count).

Thanks and Regards.

N

The Set Inspection Status step defaults to incrementing fail count if any previous step fails within that state. The acquisition step fails when it times out. You can also configure the step to increment based on a specific step (i.e. a calculator step that could take multiple results and determine pass/fail based on specific logic). You can also have transitions to other states and have the Set Inspection Status in a different state than the acquisition. This way, you can transition to a state when you know you've acquired an image (i.e. status of acq step passes), and then do your processing in that state with the Set Inspection status since it only looks at step results from the same state. Go to File>>New from Template to see an example of how to configure a triggered acquisition that may timeout.

Hope that helps,

Brad
