Finding angle by using Vision Builder AI 2009 SP1

HI.

i am using Vision Builder AI 2009 to do my project. i need to use tis software to measure the angle between the original position to the new position of this item.i have been trying many way but i still cant cant my ans.

Here i have attach the sample of image that i use in the project.

My guess is that you have moved your illumination (most likely CFL) for those images to make sure you see the thick white marking. Am I right? First Try to make the illumination uniform then try pattern matching. It should work.

ya, i need to make sure tat the white marking can be c 1st. but i think pattern matching cant work cause i have try this method before, what it show me is only the item is match or not match.

You do get the angle of match as co-ordinate output right?

actually i get this idea but i don't known how to do it.

You've to use the lighting that can can light down directly on to toroid to cancel shading problem.

Then, detect bright object to detect center circle.

Set axis, and find edge.
