Firewire PCMCIA adapter recommendation

I am looking for a PCMCIA IEEE-1394a adapter card. I purchased a cheap on that doesn't seem to work. While the camera shows up in MAX, I cannot acquire an image using it.

On another thread, someone pointed out that they use a card made by SIIG. Unfortunately, that posting is rather old and no model # was given.

I am looking for recommendation of cards successfully used in IMAQ vision apps.

I am using an HP EliteBook 8510p running XP Pro SP2.

Hi Steverino,

Did you associate the camera with the IMAQdx driver in MAX (right-click on camera, select driver) before trying to acquire?

What errors did you get when trying to acquire an image from the camera? 

I haven't found any 'recommended' PCMCIA Firewire adapters, but in general, if the adapter is IIDC compliant than it should work. Hopefully you'll get some hits from other community members who are successfully using this setup and they can point you to a specific brand or model.
