Global rectangle standard issues

Hello,

I have some general questions about the global rectangle used in ROI descriptors :

  • When drawing a ROI, I look at its computed global rectangle. I noticed there are some shifts for the XRIGHT (and YBOTTOM) coordinates compared to the right-most (bottom-most) point of the ROI. For instance, the shift is +1/+1 for most shapes, but in the case of annulus, it's +2/+1. Is there any reason behind this shift?
  • This generates discrepancies. For instance, when looking at a rectangle and the same rectangle defined as a polygon by its coordinates, then the global rectangles differ. Is there an explanation for such behavior?
  • In the case of drawing an annulus or a rotated rectangle, I look at the global rectangle given and the one obtained through ROItoMask and MaskToROI used back to back (see attached vi). Then there can be differences even for XLEFT or YTOP. Again, is there an explanation for such behavior?

Thanks for your help.
