HOW TO GIVE COMMANDS TO NI1742 SMART CAMERA

My application is to read pharma code , barcode and 2D code  using NI1742 smart camera.

Is it possible to embed the inspection built through VISION BUILDER FOR AUTOMATED INSPECTION on the smart camera NI 1742 and run it through sending commands like trigger enble/disable, read only barcode or pharma code or 2D code etc. using some external or a third party device.

If it is possible and  you have any idea please suggest me. As  I am completely new to Machine Vision I dont know how to do this

The smart camera has a limited number of digital inputs.  You can make use of these to command the camera behaviour.  You can also use TCP/IP to send commands.  You would need to make yourself familiar with the TCP/IP VIs.
