Hi,
actually the topics says what I m searching for.
I would like to get an image from the acquisition step of Vision Builder AI and save it to a file (I don t want to do this by VBAI with image logging).
I want to start VBAI by ActiveX controls (this is already working) and get an image from my Firewire-Camera and save this imge to a file.
I tried to do this by IMAQdx and writing a programm in .Net, but I couldn t get any useful help in this forum, so I want to try it by ActiveX.
I would be happy if anyone can help me.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Cokfat,
it sounds to me like you are trying to use the VBAI ActiveX tools as a simpler API for image acquisition. This is a bad idea for a number of reasons. Instead you should learn to use the ActiveX control for IMAQdx (starting with example programs).
If you insists on using the VBAI ActiveX control, then his best bet is to study the ActiveX examples that ship with Vision Builder AI: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI 3.6\ActiveX Support\Examples
Good luck

Hi Dippi,
thanks for your answer.
I tried to do it with IMAQdx, but with the installation of my Acquisition Software Version 8.6, which was delivered with VBAI 3.6, I am not able to install the examples. I couldn t find the reason. They weren t there, also when I was reinstalling the Software.
Can I download the examples from somewhere else?
Thanks
Cokfat
