How can I turn a color image into a grayscale image, using IMAQ Vision Builder 5.0?

I have several 24-bits Bitmap images and I would like to use the IMAQ Vision Builder's grayscale tools to process those images. How can I turn those color images into grayscale images?

On the toolbar under "Color", select "Extract Color Planes". You can extract a single color (red, green, or blue), hue and saturation info, or intensity information. Intensity is probably going to closest to what you would get if you used a grayscale camera, but the other options might be useful for you.
