How to create a custom camera configuration

Have ni-1422 and a custom imaging system.  there is no icd file that is close to get an image and I get a time out no matter what I do.  if there a list of syntax and command available the make up the icd file?   can this board support non standard video formats?

For creating an *.icd file check out the Camera File Generator. 

As far as non standard video formats go, refer to this KnowledgeBase.  It will depend on the camera file.
