How to setup multiple regions of interest for IMAQdx?

I was always using Measurement & Automation Explorer for the  Region of Interest (ROI). I'd like to know if there's any way to set up two seperated ROIs for the IMAQdx, since I only need these two regions and they are on the left and right side of the image.

Hi Ishi,

What kind of camera are you using? FireWire or GigE Vision? Are you wanting to have the camera acquire multiple ROIs simultaneously or do you just want to switch between them? If it is the former, while some cameras support this, there is no standardized mechanism in the standard for either bus that I am aware of for the camera to send multiple ROIs of an image. Cameras that do this have their own proprietary mechanisms for configuring and decoding the multiple images from the single stream. You would have to decode the image data manually do do this with IMAQdx.

Hey Eric,

It's a prosilica firewaire EC650. So I guess there's no way to do it. I was thinking by shrinking the image size I might probably reduce the acquisition time by a couple of milliseconds? Not a big deal really.
